 Straightening or curling damaged hair

To avoid having completely damaged hair or even hair that breaks during straightening, we advise you torespect your hair!

Because each hair type has its specific protection product and also regarding heat:

  • Very damaged hair: 80°C to 140°C.
  • Fine hair: 140°C to 170°C.
  • Normal hair: 170°C to 190°C.
  • Wavy hair: 190°C to 210°C.
  • Thick hair: 190°C to 235°C.

Hair straightening sometimes seems easy, but it is important to know the basics so asnot to damage your hair or even burn your hands.

  1. Always hydrate and protect your hair before you start
  2. Hair must be 100% dry
  3. Detangle your hair
  4. Use an appropriate straightener
  5. Set the correct temperature
  6. Make clean sections for easier styling.
  7. Use a protective glove and a comb to straighten thoroughly down to the roots and avoid burns

Why not straighten wet hair?

We100% advise against - in fact, we forbid you to straighten your wet hair!

All your hair cuticles are open, which is ideal for deep nourishment, but if you heat them, your hair will burn directly from the inside.

Imagine putting your hand in boiling water or in your oven at 230 degrees! It's exactly the same thing, so to avoid ending up bald, we strongly advise against it.
